About UI Designs by Drakah

Examine the details of Drakah Interfaces

Story and Vision

Drakah has been designing custom user interfaces for the EverQuest community since 2002, with a focus on creating intuitive, visually engaging, and distinctive themed experiences. Built around the principles of creativity, functionality, and simplicity, each interface is designed to offer something unique while remaining practical and easy to use. The goal has always been to enhance the EverQuest experience with thoughtfully crafted interfaces that are both functional and visually enjoyable.

About Drakah’s Interfaces

Welcome to the home of Drakah UI, custom user interfaces created for the EverQuest community by Drakah Sha`Kahr, commonly known as Drakah.

I have been creating, maintaining, and sharing custom EverQuest user interfaces with the community since 2002. Since custom user interfaces became available for EverQuest, shakahr.com has served as the home of my UI creations, updates, documentation, and related information.

For more than two decades, my goal has remained the same: to provide EverQuest players with alternative ways to customize the look, feel, organization, and presentation of the game’s user interface while continuing to play EverQuest normally.

I am also a moderator at EQInterface.com, a long-established community website dedicated to custom user interfaces. I have used EQInterface.com to distribute and maintain many of my own Drakah UI releases in addition to maintaining them through shakahr.com.

My involvement with EQInterface.com does not imply that Daybreak Game Company has reviewed, approved, endorsed, or certified my interfaces.

Purpose of Creating Interfaces

My creations are intended solely to customize the visual appearance, layout, organization, and presentation of the EverQuest user interface using the custom UI functionality available within EverQuest.

Depending upon the interface, these changes may include such things as:

  • Window appearance, borders, backgrounds, and textures
  • Button and icon appearance
  • Window sizes and layouts
  • Gauges, labels, font size, and other visual elements
  • Placement and organization of information already provided by EverQuest
  • Updates necessary to maintain compatibility with changes made to the EverQuest user interface

My Interfaces are not intended to alter EverQuest gameplay, automate gameplay, provide an unfair advantage, circumvent game restrictions, or provide information that a player would not otherwise be permitted to receive through the normal EverQuest user interface.

My work is about changing how EverQuest looks and how its existing interface information is presented, not changing how EverQuest itself operates.

No Cheats, Hacks, Bots, or Gameplay Automation

My Interfaces are not created or distributed as cheating software.

Official Interface packages (zip files) that I create are not intended to contain or provide:

  • Bots or unattended gameplay
  • Automated combat or gameplay
  • Hacks or exploits
  • DLL injection
  • Executable programs that manipulate the EverQuest client
  • Memory modification or manipulation
  • Packet interception or modification
  • Circumvention of anti-cheat or security systems
  • Functions intended to provide an unfair gameplay advantage
  • Features intended to expose information that EverQuest does not normally make available through its user interface

The purpose of me creating an interface is to change the presentation of the EverQuest user interface — not the rules, mechanics, or operation of the game.

More Than Two Decades of EverQuest UI Development

I began creating custom interfaces for EverQuest in 2002 and have continued developing and maintaining them for the community ever since.

Over the years, EverQuest itself has changed considerably. The user interface has evolved, new windows and features have been introduced, existing interface components have been redesigned, and technical changes have sometimes required custom interfaces to be updated or rebuilt.

Throughout those changes, I have continued maintaining UI releases so players who prefer my interface designs can continue using them.

My work is a long-running community project created out of my enjoyment of EverQuest, interface design, and helping other players personalize their game experience.

Daybreak Games and EverQuest

I am an independent community UI creator, posting all work on shakahr.com, some on EQInterface.com, as well as being active on Discord and on the forums.

I am not affiliated with, employed by, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially approved by Daybreak Game Company LLC unless Daybreak specifically states otherwise.

EverQuest, Daybreak Game Company, Daybreak Games, and their respective names, logos, artwork, game content, trademarks, and other intellectual property are the property of Daybreak Game Company LLC and/or their respective owners.

References to EverQuest on this website are made solely to identify the game for which these custom user interfaces were created.

The EverQuest client provides functionality for loading custom user interface skins, and Daybreak has publicly documented and discussed custom user interfaces, custom UI creators, custom UI files, and the loading and maintenance of custom UI skins.

That recognition of custom user interfaces should not be interpreted as Daybreak having individually reviewed, certified, endorsed, guaranteed, or approved any particular Drakah UI release.

Compliance With Game Rules

It is my intention that official UI releases, created by myself, remain within the normal custom user interface functionality available through EverQuest and comply with applicable Daybreak Games policies.

I do not intentionally create, distribute, or support features designed to:

  • Cheat or exploit EverQuest
  • Automate gameplay
  • Modify gameplay mechanics
  • Provide an unfair gameplay advantage
  • Manipulate the EverQuest client
  • Circumvent restrictions imposed by Daybreak
  • Interfere with EverQuest security or anti-cheat systems

Daybreak Games may change EverQuest, its policies, its Terms of Service, its End User License Agreement, or other rules at any time.

If a future change affects the operation or permissibility of a Drakah UI component, I reserve the right to modify, replace, or discontinue that component or interface.

Nothing on shakahr.com or eqinterface.com should be interpreted as a claim that Daybreak has reviewed or officially approved any particular Drakah UI release.

Drakah UI Is 100% Free

All Drakah UI interfaces are provided completely free of charge.

There is no purchase price, subscription, membership, payment, or donation required to download or use a Drakah UI.

shakahr.com may provide an optional donation link for members of the community who wish to help support the cost of operating and maintaining the website.

Donations are entirely voluntary.

A donation:

  • Is not required to download a Drakah UI
  • Does not unlock additional UI files
  • Does not provide exclusive UI features
  • Does not provide early access to UI releases
  • Does not purchase a Drakah UI
  • Does not provide preferential access to downloads

Whether someone donates or does not donate has no effect on their ability to obtain and use the publicly available Drakah UI releases.

Donations are simply an optional way for members of the community to help offset the costs associated with maintaining shakahr.com and keeping these resources available to the public.

Official Drakah UI Sources

Because files distributed on the Internet can be copied, modified, repackaged, renamed, or redistributed by other people, I can only stand behind files that I personally release and maintain.

shakahr.com

The primary official home of Drakah UI is:

shakahr.com

Files downloaded directly from shakahr.com and published by me are official Drakah UI releases for which I am responsible.

shakahr.com has served as the home of my EverQuest custom UI work since the early days of EverQuest custom user interface development.

EQInterface.com

I also maintain and distribute Drakah UI releases through EQInterface.com.

I am a moderator at EQInterface.com and have been an active part of that custom UI community.

A Drakah UI downloaded from EQInterface.com may be considered an official release when the interface was originally uploaded, published, or is currently maintained there by me, Drakah.

My position as a moderator at EQInterface.com does not mean that EQInterface.com, Daybreak Game Company, or any other organization has independently inspected, certified, approved, or guaranteed the contents of every Drakah UI release.

These two locations — shakahr.com and Drakah-maintained releases at EQInterface.com — are the sources for which I can take responsibility for the contents of the UI packages I personally upload and maintain.

Modified, Mirrored, or Redistributed Copies

Once a Drakah UI package is downloaded, I have no technical ability to prevent another person from:

  • Modifying it
  • Adding files to it
  • Removing files from it
  • Repackaging it
  • Renaming it
  • Combining it with other software
  • Redistributing it
  • Uploading it to another website or service

I therefore cannot take responsibility for copies of a Drakah UI that have been altered, repackaged, or distributed by someone else.

A package bearing the Drakah name does not necessarily mean that the package being offered is an original or unmodified Drakah release.

This is especially important when a Drakah UI is obtained from:

  • An unofficial website
  • A file-sharing service
  • A Discord attachment or private message
  • An unofficial mirror
  • A repackaged UI collection
  • Another person’s modified version of a Drakah UI
  • Any location where I am not personally responsible for maintaining the download

If a third party modifies one of my UI packages, those modifications are the responsibility of that person.

Malicious or Unauthorized Modifications

I have no control over what another person may do with a Drakah UI package after obtaining a copy.

If another person adds software, scripts, executables, DLL files, automation, malware, prohibited functionality, cheats, exploits, or any other material to one of my interfaces, those additions are not part of an official Drakah UI release unless I personally created and distributed them.

I cannot accept responsibility for the operation, security, safety, legality, compliance, or contents of modified or unofficial copies over which I have no control.

The fact that another person uses the Drakah name, Drakah artwork, a Drakah UI folder name, or files originating from one of my interfaces does not mean I created, approved, reviewed, or distributed that altered package.

If you want to verify that you are using an interface released by me, obtain it directly from:

shakahr.com

or from an EQInterface.com release uploaded and maintained by Drakah.

Personal Modifications

Players may choose to modify interface files for their own personal preferences, subject to the rules and policies governing EverQuest.

A player making a minor personal adjustment to one of my interfaces does not concern me from a creative standpoint. Customization has always been part of the spirit of the custom UI community.

However, once someone other than me modifies an official Drakah UI, I can no longer verify exactly what has been changed.

For that reason, a personally modified version should not be represented as an official Drakah release or as a version that I have reviewed, tested, approved, or maintained.

If a player does make any modification to any of my interfaces, and posts it as their own interface, they will need to credit me (Drakah) as the original designer of those pieces or they will need to remove their interface until either the modifications are removed or the information has been updated for author credit purposes.

Use at Your Own Discretion

EverQuest is continuously updated, and changes made by Daybreak can occasionally cause an existing custom interface to behave differently, generate UI errors, display incorrectly, or require an update.

I make reasonable efforts to maintain my interfaces and keep official releases working properly, but I cannot guarantee that every interface will remain compatible with every future EverQuest update.

Users are responsible for deciding whether to install and use a custom interface and should always follow the current EverQuest and Daybreak Games rules and policies.

If you experience a problem with an official Drakah UI, please verify that you are using the latest release from an official source before reporting the issue.

A Community Project Since 2002

Drakah has been designing interfaces for EverQuest, since 2002. This now includes games such as EverQuest II and EverQuest Legends.

What began as an interest in customizing the EverQuest interface developed into a long-running project that I have been happy to share with the community for more than two decades.

These interfaces are not products being sold.

They are community creations that I continue to develop, maintain, update, and provide 100% free of charge to EverQuest players who enjoy using them.

My intention has always been to enhance the visual experience, organization, and usability of the EverQuest user interface while leaving the gameplay itself to EverQuest.

Thank you to everyone who has downloaded my interfaces, tested releases, reported problems, suggested improvements, supported shakahr.com, participated at EQInterface.com, or simply enjoyed using Drakah UI over the years.

Your continued interest is what has made it worthwhile to keep these interfaces updated for so long.
